How to Compress Images Online
Our image compressor uses the browser's built-in Canvas API to re-encode images at your chosen quality level. No external libraries or server uploads — everything happens locally.
Quality slider: Lower values produce smaller files with more compression artifacts. 75% is usually a good balance between quality and file size. For web images, 60-80% works well.
Format options: JPEG is best for photos. PNG is best for screenshots and images with transparency. WebP offers the best compression ratio but may not be supported by all software.
