About the QR Code Generator
A QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional barcode that can store text, URLs, contact information, and more. Smartphones can scan QR codes using their cameras to instantly open links, connect to WiFi, save contacts, and more.
What can I put in a QR code?
Virtually any text content: website URLs, plain text messages, phone numbers (tel:), email addresses (mailto:), SMS messages (smsto:), WiFi credentials (WIFI:), geographic coordinates, and vCard contact information.
Error correction levels
Higher error correction allows the QR code to be read even if part of it is damaged or obscured. L (Low) — up to 7% of data can be restored. M (Medium) — 15%. Q (Quartile) — 25%. H (High) — 30%. Use H if you plan to print on materials that might get dirty or damaged.
Tips for best results
Keep URLs short — shorter content produces a less dense, easier-to-scan QR code. Always maintain sufficient contrast between the dark and light colors. Test your QR code with multiple devices before printing or publishing. Use a higher error correction level if you plan to add a logo on top of the QR code.
